All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Generally, prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to profit from margins, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply variations in how each assesses the probability of an event. It's common to see this market move independently of sportsbook lines, especially as new information emerges or public sentiment shifts regarding the match.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing different possible exact first-half scores. The price of each share reflects the market’s collective probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders participate, the prices adjust to reflect the evolving consensus. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market's price movements are driven by supply and demand, influenced by news, team form, and any other relevant information impacting perceptions of the game’s likely progression during the first half.
This market resolves around Oct 17, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the official result of the first half score in the Venezia FC versus SSC Napoli match will be used to determine the winning share(s). The resolution will be based on the official match data, ensuring an objective and verifiable outcome. Traders will be able to claim their winnings once the result is officially confirmed and reported by trusted sources covering the event.
Several factors could significantly impact this market before resolution. Any news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either Venezia FC or SSC Napoli would likely cause price adjustments. Changes in team form, tactical shifts announced by the managers, or even weather conditions on match day could also influence trading activity. Unexpected pre-match announcements, such as changes to the starting lineups, will almost certainly move the market. Overall, any information that alters perceptions of the teams’ relative strengths or the likely flow of the first half could drive price fluctuations.
