Often, prediction market odds reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd effect, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks may incorporate factors like public perception or promotional offers, while this market relies purely on traders’ willingness to buy or sell based on their own analysis. If sportsbook odds heavily favor one player, but this market shows a more balanced distribution, it could indicate that prediction market participants have access to or believe they have superior information. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially before significant events or news breaks.
