If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and often incorporate a profit margin, while this market is driven by individuals trading on their own beliefs. If a significant number of traders believe a sportsbook is undervaluing a particular outcome, they may drive up the price on Polymarket, creating a discrepancy. It’s common to see prediction markets more accurately forecast probabilities, especially when there's substantial trading volume and diverse participation.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing different exact scores. The price of each share reflects the market's collective belief about the probability of that score occurring. As more traders participate, the price adjusts to reflect new information and sentiment. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market's price movements are driven by supply and demand; if more people buy shares of a specific outcome, its price increases, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing ensures the market remains responsive to evolving expectations.
This market resolves around Oct 19, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final, official result of the Varbergs BoIS versus Helsingborgs IF match, specifically the exact score, will determine the winning shares. The resolution will be based on the official match data released by the governing sporting body. Traders will be able to view the resolution details on Polymarket following the conclusion of the match and verification of the results.
