This set of markets tracks how many touchdowns are caught by players from each team during a college football matchup. The outcomes depend on whether specific players on Kentucky or Vanderbilt achieve particular thresholds of receiving touchdowns in the game.
All markets resolve based on the total number of receiving touchdowns scored by either Kentucky or Vanderbilt in the game scheduled for October 24, 2026, including any overtime periods. A receiving touchdown is counted only when the player who caught the pass scores; if another player recovers a fumble and scores, it does not count as a receiving touchdown, unless the original receiver recovers their own fumble and scores. Successful two-point conversions, regardless of when they occur, are excluded from all counts. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original kickoff time, the markets remain active and resolve according to the final official result. If the game does not start within that 48-hour window, all markets resolve to a fair price. Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from sportsbook odds which can be influenced by factors like house bias or initial public perception. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action, whereas this market’s price is determined solely by buyers and sellers predicting the event outcome. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially before significant events or when new information emerges. Examining these differences can reveal insights into where the crowd believes sportsbooks may be over or underestimating probabilities for the Vanderbilt-Kentucky game.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous double auction, meaning traders buy and sell contracts representing different outcomes. The price of a contract reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more people trade, the prices adjust to reflect the collective belief. The closer the event gets, the more the price will likely converge towards either 0 or 100, representing increasing confidence in one outcome over others for the Vanderbilt-Kentucky touchdowns market.
This market resolves around Oct 25, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the market will determine which team receives more touchdowns during the Vanderbilt vs. Kentucky football game. The final touchdown count will be sourced from official game statistics and verified against credible public sources. Traders will then be paid out based on whether their chosen outcome aligned with the final result of the game, as determined by the official statistics.
Several signals could significantly impact this market. News regarding key player injuries for either Vanderbilt or Kentucky would likely cause price movement. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly if severe weather is predicted, could also influence the market, as they affect the style of play and scoring potential. Unexpected coaching decisions or strategic shifts announced before the game could also shift trader sentiment. Finally, any significant public information about team morale or preparation could move this market as traders react to new data before Oct 25, 2026.
