These markets track the point differential in the second half of an upcoming college football game, focusing exclusively on performance after halftime. Outcomes are determined by how many points each team scores from the third quarter onward, including any overtime periods.
All markets resolve based solely on points scored during the second half (including overtime) of the Vanderbilt vs Georgia college football game scheduled for Oct 3, 2026. For Georgia markets, resolution occurs if Georgia's second-half point total exceeds the specified margin; for Vanderbilt markets, resolution occurs if Vanderbilt's second-half point total exceeds the specified margin. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of its original time, markets remain open and resolve based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours of the scheduled time, all markets resolve to a fair price. No affiliation with the NCAA is claimed, and all trademarks remain property of their respective owners.
Generally, prediction markets like Kalshi tend to be highly efficient and often reflect information similar to what’s seen in traditional sportsbooks. However, differences can emerge due to varying levels of liquidity and the types of participants involved. Sportsbooks incorporate a ‘vig’ or commission into their odds, while Kalshi allows traders to directly set prices based on their beliefs. It’s common to see this market and sportsbook odds converge as the event approaches, but discrepancies can present opportunities for informed traders.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing different point spreads for the second half. The price of each contract reflects the probability of that spread occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders are incentivized to provide accurate predictions, as they profit if their beliefs align with the eventual outcome. The more contracts bought for a specific spread, the higher its price rises, indicating greater confidence in that outcome.
This market resolves around Oct 3, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final point spread of the second half of the Vanderbilt vs Georgia game is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result reported by the governing body of college football. Traders holding contracts corresponding to the correct spread will receive a payout, while those holding contracts on incorrect spreads will forfeit their investment. The final result will be publicly available on Kalshi following the game's conclusion.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before the game concludes. Any news regarding key player injuries on either Vanderbilt or Georgia would likely cause significant movement. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly if they suggest conditions favoring one team’s style of play, could also shift the market. Furthermore, any significant public betting activity in sportsbooks, or even shifts in expert analysis, could impact trader sentiment on Kalshi and lead to price adjustments in this market.
