This market refers to the Valorant Upper Bracket Quarterfinal match between Team Liquid Brazil and Gentle Mates GC in the VCT Game Changers Championship Playoffs, initially scheduled for October 23, 2026 at 2:00 PM ET. This market will resolve to "Team Liquid Brazil" if Team Liquid Brazil win the match against Gentle Mates GC. This market will resolve to "Gentle Mates GC" if Gentle Mates GC win the match against Team Liquid Brazil. If the match is canceled (not played at all) or ends in a tie, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match is postponed, it must be rescheduled to a start time on or before November 6, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET (14 calendar days after the originally scheduled start of October 23, 2026 at 2:00 PM ET). If, by that deadline, the most recently announced rescheduled start time is on or before the deadline, this market resolves based on the result of the match as played. Otherwise, this market resolves 50-50, regardless of whether the match is subsequently played. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://vlr.gg. However, if https://vlr.gg has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Often, prediction market odds reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd effect, potentially differing from initial sportsbook lines. Sportsbooks may set odds based on power rankings and public perception, while this market allows anyone to trade on their own informed opinions. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information access, biases, or simply a different assessment of team strengths. It’s common to see this market adjust rapidly as new information emerges, potentially leading to odds that diverge from, or converge with, those offered by traditional sportsbooks.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the price fluctuates, reflecting the evolving consensus. The more shares purchased for a particular outcome, the higher its price, and the greater the implied probability of that outcome.
This market resolves around Oct 24, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on the official result of the Valorant: Team Liquid Brazil vs Gentle Mates GC (BO3) match within the VCT Game Changers Championship Playoffs. The winning team, as declared by the tournament organizers, will determine the settlement of this market. Any potential disputes will be handled according to Polymarket’s terms of service.
Several factors could significantly influence this market before the match concludes. Unexpected roster changes for either Team Liquid Brazil or Gentle Mates GC, news regarding player health or performance, or even strategic shifts announced by the teams could all cause price fluctuations. Major upsets in other VCT Game Changers Championship Playoffs matches might also impact perceptions of team strength and influence trading activity. Furthermore, any in-game developments during the BO3 series itself, such as a dominant performance by one team in the first map, would likely lead to immediate shifts in the market.
