Description

This market refers to the Valorant match between All Gamers and TYLOO in the VCT China Group Alpha, initially scheduled for April 11 at 5:00AM ET. This market will resolve to "All Gamers" if All Gamers win the match against TYLOO. This market will resolve to "TYLOO" if TYLOO win the match against All Gamers. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://vlr.gg. However, if https://vlr.gg has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Issue:

Polymarket and Kalshi use fundamentally different resolution scopes and logic. Polymarket offers six granular markets (match winner, map handicaps, total maps, individual map winners) with detailed edge-case handling, while Kalshi offers a single binary market that resolves YES if either team wins the match, making it logically incoherent and unresolvable.

Hero Tip:

Avoid Kalshi's market entirely—it resolves YES regardless of match outcome (either TYLOO or All Gamers wins), making it a guaranteed YES with no meaningful risk. Polymarket's six markets are coherent and independently resolvable; use those for directional or granular exposure.

Critical Divergence Points:

  • Polymarket: Aligned with itself across six distinct markets: Polymarket resolves each market independently based on match outcome, map count, or individual map results. All six markets use vlr.gg as primary source with a 2-hour fallback to credible reporting, and apply consistent edge-case logic (50-50 for cancellations, delays beyond 7 days, incomplete matches with forfeits, or ties). Key quote: 'The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://vlr.gg. However, if https://vlr.gg has not published final results within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.'
  • Kalshi: Outlier: Kalshi's single market is logically incoherent—it states 'If TYLOO wins...then the market resolves to Yes' AND 'If All Gamers wins...then the market resolves to Yes,' meaning the market resolves YES regardless of which team wins the match. No edge-case handling, no 50-50 conditions, and no source specification are provided. This makes the market fundamentally unresolvable with meaningful risk differentiation. Key quote: 'If TYLOO wins the VCT China 2026: TYLOO vs. All Gamers Valorant match originally scheduled for Apr 11, 2026 at 5:00 AM EDT, then the market resolves to Yes. If All Gamers wins the VCT China 2026: TYLOO vs. All Gamers Valorant match originally scheduled for Apr 11, 2026 at 5:00 AM EDT, then the market resolves to Yes.'
