In the upcoming match between Valencia CF and Real Madrid CF, scheduled for November 7, 2026 at 3:00 PM ET: This market will resolve to "Valencia CF" if Valencia CF are the first to score in the second half (second half of regular play plus second-half stoppage time). This market will resolve to "Real Madrid CF" if Real Madrid CF are the first to score in the second half (second half of regular play plus second-half stoppage time). If neither team scores in the second half (second half of regular play plus second-half stoppage time), this market will resolve to "Neither". If the game is postponed, this market will remain open until the game has been completed. If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, this market will resolve to "Neither". This market refers only to goals scored within the second half of regular play plus second-half stoppage time. First-half goals, extra time, and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor names, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences in a team's or player's name will not affect resolution, provided the intended team or player can be clearly and uniquely identified as a participant in the listed fixture or competition. If a listed name has no reasonable connection to any participant, or could reasonably refer to more than one participant such that the intended team or player cannot be determined, this market will resolve as it would if the listed fixture had been canceled entirely; a listed participant who cannot be identified does not count as inactive or absent. The primary resolution source for this market will be official match information from La Liga (https://www.laliga.com/). If the governing body or event organizers have not published final statistics within 2 hours of the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, but may also incorporate a profit margin. This market, however, is driven by traders who are incentivized to accurately predict the outcome, potentially leading to more efficient pricing. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply variations in how each source assesses the probability of a given result. It's common to see prediction markets move faster to incorporate new information than sportsbooks.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders buy shares in a particular outcome, its price increases, and vice versa. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current implied probability of Valencia CF scoring first in the second half is 47.0%. This dynamic pricing ensures the market reflects the collective intelligence of all participants.
This market resolves around Nov 7, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the market will determine which team—Valencia CF or Real Madrid CF—scores the first goal during the second half of the match. The result will be based on official match data and verified against credible public sources. The resolution process is designed to be objective and transparent, ensuring a fair and accurate outcome for all traders participating in this market.
Several factors could influence the trading activity in this market. Any news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either Real Madrid or Valencia could significantly shift the odds. Tactical changes announced by either manager prior to kickoff, or even during halftime, could also impact trader sentiment. Unexpected weather conditions, or even refereeing assignments, might also play a role. Furthermore, any significant shifts in public opinion, perhaps driven by pre-match analysis or social media buzz, could lead to increased volume and price movement in this market.
