In the upcoming La Liga game between Valencia CF and Athletic Club, scheduled for October 17, 2026 at 3:00 PM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the Valencia CF vs. Athletic Club match originally scheduled for October 17, 2026 at 3:00 PM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the actual score is not one of the explicitly listed outcomes, the market resolves to "Any Other Score." If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set their lines based on their own models and need to account for profit margins, while this market is driven by traders who are incentivized to accurately predict the outcome. If a significant discrepancy exists, arbitrage opportunities may arise, where traders can profit by betting on both the prediction market and a sportsbook. It’s common to see this market adjust more dynamically to new information than sportsbook odds.
On Predict, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing each possible exact score. The price of each contract fluctuates based on supply and demand, reflecting the collective belief of the traders. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders believe a particular score is likely, its price increases, and vice versa. This creates a dynamic pricing mechanism that continuously updates the implied probabilities of each outcome. The current volume suggests active participation and a developing consensus among traders.
This market resolves around Oct 17, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Several factors could influence the trading activity in this market. Any news regarding team injuries, changes in player lineups, or tactical adjustments announced by either Valencia CF or Athletic Club could significantly shift the odds. Unexpected weather conditions on match day, or even pre-game commentary from analysts, could also impact trader sentiment. Furthermore, any significant events affecting team morale or performance leading up to the match have the potential to move this market, as traders react to new information and adjust their predictions.
