This set of markets tracks how many points are scored in a specific quarter of a college football game between Utah and Colorado. Each market has a different threshold for the total points scored by both teams during that quarter.
These markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams combined during the second quarter of the Utah vs Colorado college football game scheduled for October 17, 2026. Each market has a specific threshold: if the combined score exceeds that threshold, the market resolves to 'Yes'; otherwise, it resolves to 'No'. Only points scored during the second quarter count. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the markets remain open and resolve based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, the markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi is not affiliated with the NCAA, and all trademarks belong to their respective owners.
Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, and can sometimes differ from those offered by sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set their lines based on statistical models and the need to balance action on both sides of a bet, while this market is driven by individuals willing to put their money behind their beliefs. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially before significant events or when new information emerges. Comparing the two can offer valuable insights into public perception versus professional analysis.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book, where buyers and sellers set the prices for contracts. The price represents the probability of the event occurring – a higher price indicates a greater perceived chance of the outcome. Traders can buy 'yes' contracts if they believe the total points scored in the 2nd quarter will be over the specified threshold, or sell 'yes' contracts if they believe it will be under. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market dynamically adjusts as traders react to new information and express their views.
This market resolves around Oct 18, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the official score of the 2nd quarter of the Utah vs Colorado game is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official game statistics as recorded by the governing sports league. The final price of the contracts will reflect whether the total points scored in the 2nd quarter exceeded or fell short of the threshold established at the time of resolution.
Several factors could influence the price of this market. Injury reports for key players on either the Utah or Colorado teams would likely have a significant impact, as would any late-breaking news regarding team strategy or weather conditions. Changes in public perception, driven by expert analysis or social media sentiment, could also shift the market. Finally, as the game approaches and more data becomes available, the market will likely become more volatile as traders refine their predictions.
