These markets track the total points scored by both teams in the second half (including overtime) of a college football game between Utah and Colorado. Each market has a different threshold for the total points needed to resolve as 'Yes'.
All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams in the second half (including overtime) of the Utah vs Colorado college football game scheduled for October 17, 2026. Each market has a specific threshold: if the combined second-half points exceed the threshold, the market resolves to 'Yes'; otherwise, it resolves to 'No'. For all markets, only points scored in the second half (including overtime) count. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the markets remain open and resolve based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, all markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi is not affiliated with the NCAA, and all trademarks remain property of their respective owners.
Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. If a significant number of people believe the actual total will be higher or lower than the sportsbook’s line, the price of contracts in this market will adjust accordingly, potentially offering a different perspective on the likely outcome. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially as new information becomes available.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing different total scores for the second half. The price of each contract reflects the probability of that specific total occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate, the price converges toward what the collective believes is the most likely outcome. Traders are incentivized to provide accurate predictions, as profitable trades are rewarded, and inaccurate ones are penalized. This dynamic pricing mechanism aims to generate a forecast that is more accurate than any single individual’s prediction.
This market resolves around Oct 18, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final total score of the second half of the Utah-Colorado game, as officially recorded by game officials, will determine the winning contracts. The resolution will be based on the official game statistics, ensuring a transparent and objective outcome. Traders holding contracts corresponding to the correct total will receive a payout, while those holding losing contracts will forfeit their investment.
Several factors could influence the price of contracts in this market. Any news regarding injuries to key players on either the Utah or Colorado teams would likely cause significant movement. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they are expected to impact scoring, could also shift the market. Late-breaking news about team strategies or coaching decisions might also play a role. Even public sentiment, reflected in social media or expert analysis, can influence trading activity and, consequently, the price of contracts in this market.
