This set of markets focuses on the final quarter performance of a college football game between Utah and Cincinnati. Each market evaluates different point spreads to determine the outcome based solely on scoring in the 4th quarter, excluding any overtime periods.
The markets resolve based on the point differential in the 4th quarter (excluding overtime) of the Utah vs Cincinnati college football game scheduled for Oct 31, 2026. For Utah markets, resolution occurs if Utah wins by more than the specified point spread (1.5, 2.5, 3.5, 6.5, 7.5, or 10.5 points). For Cincinnati markets, resolution occurs if Cincinnati wins by more than the specified point spread (2.5, 3.5, 6.5, 7.5, or 10.5 points). Only points scored during the 4th quarter count. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, markets remain open and resolve based on the official result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, markets resolve to a fair price.
Generally, prediction markets like Kalshi often reflect information and insights different from those priced into traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market represents the collective wisdom of traders. You may find that this market’s implied probability of different outcomes diverges from sportsbook lines, potentially offering opportunities for informed traders. It’s important to remember that both represent probabilities, but are derived through different mechanisms and influenced by different participants.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing different point spreads. The price of each contract reflects the market’s assessment of the probability of that spread occurring. As more traders buy contracts predicting a particular outcome, the price increases, and vice versa. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price movement is driven by supply and demand, with traders reacting to news, analysis, and their own predictions about the game’s outcome. This dynamic pricing mechanism aims to create a real-time forecast of the 4th quarter spread.
This market resolves around Oct 31, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the final point spread in the 4th quarter of the Utah vs Cincinnati game will be used to determine which contracts pay out. The resolution will be based on official game statistics, and the contracts will settle accordingly, paying $1.00 for winning contracts and $0.00 for losing ones. The exact spread that determines the outcome will be publicly available following the game’s completion.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before resolution. Any news regarding injuries to key players on either the Utah or Cincinnati teams would likely have a significant impact. Changes in team strategy or coaching decisions could also move the market. Furthermore, general sentiment and analysis from sports commentators and analysts can influence trader behavior. Unexpected weather conditions or any controversies surrounding the game could also contribute to price fluctuations in this market up until Oct 31, 2026.
