Prediction market odds, like those found on Polymarket and Kalshi, often differ from traditional sportsbook odds due to the nature of how they are determined. Sportsbooks set odds based on statistical models and expert analysis, while prediction markets are driven by the collective intelligence of a diverse group of traders. This can lead to prediction markets being more accurate, particularly when incorporating information not readily available to sportsbooks. Furthermore, the incentive structure differs; prediction markets reward accurate predictions directly, while sportsbooks profit from the spread. This market offers a distinct alternative for evaluating the potential outcome of the game.
