On Kalshi, this market is priced using a continuous double auction, meaning traders are constantly buying and selling contracts at prices they deem fair. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price reflects the probability of a particular outcome occurring, as perceived by the traders on the exchange. Higher prices indicate a greater perceived chance of that outcome, while lower prices suggest a lower probability. The current price is determined by the forces of supply and demand – if more people want to buy contracts for Texas State to win the first quarter, the price will increase, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing mechanism allows the market to quickly incorporate new information and adjust expectations.
This market resolves around Oct 25, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the result will be determined by which team is officially declared the winner of the first quarter of the Utah State vs Texas State game by the official game statistics. The resolution will be based on the official score at the end of the first quarter, as reported by a trusted sports data source. Traders will then be paid out or have their contracts settled based on whether their predicted outcome matches the verified result.
Several factors could influence trading activity and shift the odds in this market. Any news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either Utah State or Texas State would likely have a significant impact. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly if they are expected to affect the game's playing conditions, could also move the market. Additionally, late-breaking news about team strategies or coaching decisions might prompt traders to reassess their probabilities. Public sentiment, as reflected in social media or expert analysis, can also contribute to price fluctuations in this market.
