These markets evaluate how many points will be scored in the final quarter of a college football game between Utah State and Boise State. Each market has a different threshold for the total points scored by both teams combined during that specific period.
All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams in the 4th quarter (excluding overtime) of the Utah St. vs Boise St. college football game scheduled for Oct 3, 2026. A 'Yes' outcome occurs when the combined score exceeds the specified threshold for each individual market (ranging from 2.5 to 27.5 points). If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the markets remain open and resolve based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, all markets resolve to a fair price. Only points scored during the 4th quarter count, and overtime points are excluded from all calculations.
Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and risk management, while this market’s price is determined by supply and demand from individuals predicting the outcome. It’s common to see initial discrepancies between the two, as sportsbooks may incorporate factors not immediately considered by prediction market participants. Over time, the market price tends to converge with sportsbook odds as more information becomes available and traders refine their assessments.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book, where traders buy and sell contracts representing their beliefs about the final 4th quarter total. The price of a contract reflects the probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders buy contracts for a particular outcome, the price increases, and vice versa. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market price represents the aggregated expectation of all participants, and it fluctuates based on new information and trading activity. This dynamic pricing mechanism allows for a real-time assessment of the likely outcome.
This market resolves around Oct 4, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the total points scored in the 4th quarter of the Utah St. vs Boise St. game will be used to determine the winning contracts. The final score will be sourced from official game statistics and verified against credible public sources. Traders holding contracts corresponding to the actual total will receive a payout, while those holding losing contracts will forfeit their investment.
Several factors could influence the price of this market. Any news regarding key player injuries for either Utah St. or Boise St. would likely cause significant movement. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they are expected to impact scoring, could also affect the market. Furthermore, in-game performance during the first three quarters, such as a dominant offensive showing by one team, could shift trader sentiment and alter the price. Unexpected coaching decisions or late-breaking news related to team strategy could also contribute to market volatility.
