This set of markets tracks how many touchdowns are scored by players catching passes in an upcoming college football game. The outcomes depend on whether specific teams reach certain thresholds of receiving touchdowns during the match.
All markets resolve based on the official number of receiving touchdowns scored by each team in the USC vs Wisconsin college football game scheduled for October 24, 2026, including any touchdowns scored in overtime periods. A receiving touchdown is defined as one scored by the player who caught the pass; if another player recovers a fumble and scores, it does not count as a receiving touchdown, though if the original receiving player recovers their own fumble and scores, it does count. Successful two-point conversions, whether in regulation or overtime, are excluded from all counts. If the game is postponed but commences within 48 hours of its original scheduled start time, all markets remain active and resolve according to the final official result. If the game fails to start within this 48-hour window, all markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi explicitly disclaims any affiliation with the NCAA, and all associated trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
Often, prediction market odds reflect a different perspective than those found at sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market relies on the collective wisdom of traders. If a significant number of traders believe a particular outcome is more likely than implied by sportsbook odds, the price in this market will adjust accordingly. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply varying interpretations of the teams’ capabilities. It’s common to see this market provide a different probability assessment than traditional betting venues.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book, where traders buy and sell contracts representing their beliefs about whether either team will score touchdowns. The price of a contract reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the price will dynamically adjust to reflect the evolving consensus. The market is driven by supply and demand; if more people want to buy contracts predicting touchdowns, the price will increase, and vice versa.
This market resolves around Oct 25, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on whether either the USC or Wisconsin team scores at least one touchdown during the game. The final score, as officially recorded by game officials, will determine the outcome of this market. The platform will verify the results against publicly available and trusted sources to ensure an accurate and transparent resolution process.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before the game concludes. Any news regarding key player injuries on either the USC or Wisconsin teams would likely have a significant impact. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly if they suggest conditions unfavorable for passing or running, could also shift trader sentiment. Furthermore, any late-breaking analysis from sports analysts or unexpected developments in team strategies could cause the market to react. Public perception and overall betting trends could also play a role in influencing the price of contracts in this market.
