Frequently asked questions

Generally, prediction market odds tend to reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often incorporating information and analysis from a diverse range of participants. This can lead to odds that are more accurate than those offered by traditional sportsbooks, which may be influenced by biases or limitations in their modeling. However, sportsbook odds are readily available and often offer different types of wagers not found in this market. It’s common to see some initial discrepancies, but as the event approaches, the odds on Polymarket often converge with those of major sportsbooks as more information becomes available and traders refine their assessments.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of each possible first-half score. As more shares are traded, the price of each share fluctuates, reflecting the collective sentiment of the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. Higher demand for a particular outcome will drive up its share price, while lower demand will cause it to fall. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market reflects the most up-to-date information and expectations.

This market resolves around Oct 27, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting.
