Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, but may also incorporate a margin for profit. This market, however, is driven by individuals willing to put their capital behind their beliefs, potentially leading to a more accurate assessment of the true probability. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply variations in opinion about the likelihood of either team scoring first in the first half.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief about whether Sassuolo or Fiorentina will score first in the first half. As more shares are purchased for a particular outcome, its price increases, reflecting a higher perceived probability. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current implied probabilities are shaped by the collective actions of all traders participating in this market.
