Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbook odds are typically set by professional oddsmakers, while this market relies on the opinions of individuals willing to put their capital at risk. It’s common to see initial discrepancies between the two, as prediction markets can quickly incorporate new information and adjust probabilities based on trader activity. However, as the event approaches, the odds on Polymarket may converge with sportsbook odds, especially if there's broad agreement on the likely outcome.
