Frequently asked questions

Often, prediction market odds reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd effect, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market is driven purely by individuals expressing their beliefs. If there's a significant discrepancy, it could indicate that the crowd perceives information differently than the sportsbook, or that one venue has more informed traders. It’s important to remember that both represent probabilities, but are derived through different mechanisms.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome of the Danylo vs. Skliar match. The price of a share directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more people buy shares in a particular outcome, its price increases, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market reflects the collective intelligence of all participants.

This market resolves around Oct 26, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Danylo vs. Skliar match as reported by the governing sports organization. The platform will then determine the winning outcome and distribute payouts to those who correctly predicted the result. Traders should monitor official sources for the final result to understand how this market will settle.

Several factors could influence the price of shares in this market. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in coaching strategies, or even weather conditions could shift expectations and impact trading activity. Unexpected announcements related to the players’ performance or fitness levels would likely cause significant movement.
