Typically, prediction market odds reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd perspective, often differing from initial sportsbook offerings. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market’s prices are driven purely by trader demand. If a significant number of traders believe a particular score is more likely than implied by sportsbook odds, the price will adjust accordingly. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially as new information emerges or public sentiment shifts closer to the event date. Examining these differences can reveal insights into where the crowd disagrees with professional oddsmakers.
