This market will resolve to "Mexico" if Mexico are the first to score within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time. If neither team scores within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time, this market will resolve "Neither". If the game is postponed, this market will remain open until the game has been completed. If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, this market will resolve to "Neither". This market refers only to the outcome within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time. Extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from initial sportsbook lines. Sportsbooks set their odds based on models and public perception, aiming to balance their books and ensure profit. This market, however, is driven by individuals putting their money where their mouth is, leading to potentially more accurate probabilities as new information emerges. While sportsbooks may adjust their lines based on betting action, prediction markets continuously update in response to every trade, offering a dynamic comparison to traditional odds.
On Predict, this market is priced through a continuous exchange where traders buy and sell contracts representing the probability of each outcome. The price of a contract directly reflects the market’s assessment of that outcome’s likelihood. As more traders buy contracts for a particular team to score first, the price increases, and the implied probability rises. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This dynamic pricing mechanism allows the market to quickly incorporate new information and adjust expectations as the event approaches, providing a real-time gauge of sentiment.
This market resolves around Oct 4, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on which team scores the first goal in the United States versus Mexico match. Official match records will be used to determine the winning outcome. The platform will verify the result against reliable sources to ensure accuracy and transparency, finalizing the market and distributing payouts to contract holders.
Several factors could influence this market. Any news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either the US or Mexico national teams would likely cause significant shifts in probabilities. Unexpected changes in coaching strategies or team formations could also impact the market. Furthermore, pre-match analysis from reputable sports analysts, and even public sentiment expressed on social media, can all contribute to price movements. Major upsets in other qualifying matches or recent team performance could also move this market before Oct 4, 2026.
