Frequently asked questions

Often, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance their risk and ensure profit, factoring in a 'vig' or commission. This market, however, reflects the collective wisdom of traders who are incentivized to accurately predict the outcome. As a result, you may find that the implied probabilities from Limitless diverge from sportsbook lines, potentially revealing insights into where the 'true' odds lie, according to those actively trading the event. These differences can be particularly noticeable when public perception clashes with expert analysis.

On Limitless, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing different outcomes. The price of each contract fluctuates based on supply and demand, reflecting the collective belief of participants. On Limitless, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This means that as more people believe an outcome is likely, the price of that outcome’s contract will increase, and vice versa. The current price indicates the probability that traders assign to each possible result in the Nelson vs. Pérez fight, and it’s constantly updating as new trades are placed.

This market resolves around Oct 18, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The result will be based on the official result declared by the UFC following the conclusion of the fight between Kyle Nelson and Cristian Pérez. The platform will verify the outcome against established sources to ensure accuracy and transparency. Traders who correctly predicted the outcome will be paid out according to the final market prices at the time of resolution, while those who predicted incorrectly will forfeit their stake.

Several factors could influence the price of this market leading up to Oct 18, 2026. Any news regarding injuries to either fighter, changes in their training regimens, or updates on their physical condition would likely cause significant movement. Public sentiment, as reflected in media coverage and social media discussions, can also play a role. Unexpected announcements about weight class changes or alterations to the fight card could also impact trading activity. Finally, any significant shifts in betting patterns at sportsbooks might prompt traders to reassess their positions and adjust their bids.
