Frequently asked questions

Generally, prediction market odds often reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd effect, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own analysis and aim to balance action on both sides, incorporating a profit margin. This market, however, is driven by individuals willing to put their money behind their beliefs, leading to odds that can be more accurate, especially as the event approaches and more information becomes available. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information sources, biases, or simply the dynamic nature of both markets.

On Limitless, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders can buy and sell contracts representing different outcomes. The price of each contract fluctuates based on supply and demand, reflecting the collective belief of the traders. On Limitless, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more people buy contracts predicting a specific outcome, the price increases, and the implied probability of that outcome rises. Conversely, selling pressure lowers the price and decreases the implied probability. This creates a dynamic pricing mechanism that continuously adjusts to new information and sentiment.

This market resolves around Oct 12, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result declared by the UFC following the completion of the Fili vs. Kamaka III fight. The fighter declared the winner by the official judges’ decision or by technical knockout/submission will determine the winning outcome in this market. Any potential challenges or disputes will be resolved based on the official UFC ruling.

Several factors could significantly influence this market before the fight takes place. News regarding fighter injuries, changes in training regimens, or even pre-fight press conference statements could all shift trader sentiment. Unexpected analysis from MMA experts or significant betting action from sharp money could also cause the odds to move. Furthermore, any updates on the fighters’ physical condition or tactical approaches leading up to the fight are likely to impact the perceived probabilities and, consequently, the price of contracts in this market.
