Prediction market odds, like those found on Polymarket and Kalshi, often reflect a different kind of wisdom than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and ensure profit, while prediction markets aggregate the beliefs of many individuals. This can lead to discrepancies; prediction markets may be more accurate at forecasting probabilities, especially when there's a large volume of trading. However, sportsbooks often offer more readily available markets and may have different incentives influencing their odds. It's wise to compare both to form a well-rounded view.
