Frequently asked questions

Typically, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, reflecting their profit margin, and may be influenced by promotional considerations. This market, driven by the collective wisdom of traders, tends to reflect pure probabilities, though biases can still emerge. Discrepancies between prediction markets and sportsbooks can present opportunities for arbitrage, where traders capitalize on differing valuations of the same event. It's common to see prediction markets more accurately forecast outcomes, especially when a large volume of trading occurs.

On Limitless, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders can buy and sell contracts representing their belief about the outcome of the Volkov vs. Kuniev fight. The price of each contract fluctuates based on supply and demand, with higher prices indicating a greater perceived probability of that outcome. On Limitless, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The platform uses a market-making system to ensure liquidity and efficient price discovery. Traders are essentially betting against each other, creating a decentralized and dynamic pricing mechanism that reflects the collective intelligence of the crowd.

This market resolves around Oct 25, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on the official result declared by the UFC following the completion of the Volkov vs. Kuniev fight. The fighter declared the winner by the official judges or via knockout/submission will determine the winning outcome in this market. Any potential protests or appeals will be considered only if they result in an official change to the fight result as recognized by the UFC.

Several factors could significantly influence this market before the fight takes place. Any news regarding fighter injuries, changes in training regimens, or even pre-fight press conference dynamics could shift trader sentiment. Unexpected announcements about weight class changes or potential rule modifications could also impact the odds. Public opinion, as reflected in polls and analyst predictions, can also play a role, though to a lesser extent than concrete event-related news. Major shifts in betting volume, even without specific news, can also indicate changing expectations and move the market.
