Frequently asked questions

Generally, prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own analysis and to balance action, while this market aggregates the views of many individual bettors. If a significant number of people believe a sportsbook is mispricing a fighter’s chances, the prediction market may show a different probability. It's common to see discrepancies, especially before significant events or when new information emerges, as this market dynamically adjusts to new data and opinions. Examining these differences can offer insights into public perception and potential value.

On Limitless, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing different outcomes. The price of each contract fluctuates based on supply and demand, reflecting the collective belief of traders about the probability of that outcome. On Limitless, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more people buy contracts predicting a specific fighter will win, the price of that contract increases, and the implied probability rises. Conversely, selling pressure lowers the price and probability. This dynamic pricing mechanism ensures that the market odds continuously adapt to new information and changing sentiment.

This market resolves around Oct 5, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result declared by the UFC for the Kopylov vs. Gautier fight. This includes determining the clear winner of the bout, whether by knockout, submission, or decision. The platform will verify the outcome against established sources to ensure accuracy and fairness. Traders holding contracts on the winning outcome will be paid out according to the final market price at resolution.

Several factors could influence this market leading up to Oct 5, 2026. Any news regarding fighter injuries, changes in training regimens, or even pre-fight press conference statements could shift trader sentiment. Unexpected analysis from MMA experts or significant betting activity in traditional sportsbooks could also impact the odds. Furthermore, updates on fighter weight cuts or any controversies surrounding the event could all contribute to price movements. Monitoring these signals and the overall trading volume will be key to understanding how this market evolves as the fight approaches.
