Frequently asked questions

Often, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks typically incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, which represents their profit margin. This market, being driven by individual traders, can sometimes provide more accurate probabilities, reflecting the collective wisdom of the crowd. However, sportsbook odds are readily available and widely publicized, serving as a common benchmark for comparison. Discrepancies between the two can highlight potential value opportunities for informed bettors.

On Limitless, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing different outcomes. The price of each contract fluctuates based on supply and demand, ultimately reflecting the market's assessment of the probability of that outcome. On Limitless, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders are incentivized to set accurate prices, as they can profit from correctly predicting the event's outcome. The current price indicates what traders believe is a fair value for each possible result of the Netherlands vs Serbia match, and this is constantly updated as new information becomes available.
