Frequently asked questions

Often, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at sportsbooks. Sportsbooks frequently incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, while this market reflects the collective judgment of traders who are incentivized to be accurate. If a significant difference emerges between prediction market probabilities and sportsbook odds, it could signal that the market believes the sportsbook is mispricing the event. However, it’s important to remember that both represent different forms of forecasting, and discrepancies can arise due to varying information and analytical approaches.

On Limitless, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing different outcomes. The price of each contract fluctuates based on supply and demand, reflecting the collective belief of participants about the probability of that outcome occurring. On Limitless, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders are constantly adjusting their positions, and the resulting price movements provide a real-time assessment of the event's potential results. The most popular outcome currently has a trading volume indicating strong interest from market participants.
