PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)

Both Polymarket and Predict utilize identical resolution criteria, focusing on second-half goals and employing the same fallback data sources.Primary resolution logic: Official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers.

Core resolution logic:

  • Udinese Calcio wins if they score more goals than AC Milan in the second half.
  • AC Milan wins if they score more goals than Udinese Calcio in the second half.
  • The market resolves to a draw if both teams score the same number of goals in the second half.
  • If the game is postponed, the market remains open until completion.
  • If the game is canceled, the market resolves to a draw.

Edge cases & clarifications:

  • No Goals Scored: If no goals are scored in the second half, the market will resolve to a draw.
  • Data Source Availability: If official statistics are unavailable within 2 hours, Flashscore is used; if Flashscore is unavailable, Sofascore is used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting is used.
  • Postponement/Cancellation: A postponed game will have the market remain open. A canceled game will resolve to a draw.
Timing: Resolution will occur after the completion of the second half (including stoppage time) and once the official result is available, or within 24 hours using the specified fallback data sources. Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Prediction market odds, like those found on Polymarket and Predict for this market, often reflect a different kind of information than traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while prediction markets aggregate the beliefs of many individual traders. This can lead to prediction market odds being more accurate, especially when there's significant public information available. However, sportsbooks often react quickly to breaking news, such as player injuries, while prediction markets may take longer to adjust. The difference in odds can present arbitrage opportunities for informed traders.
