Description

This prediction market asks which team will score the first goal in a soccer match between Udinese Calcio and AC Milan. The market considers goals scored within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time, and provides an option for 'Neither' if no goal is scored within that timeframe. Postponement or cancellation rules are also defined.

PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)

Both platforms utilize identical resolution criteria regarding the timing of the first goal, the inclusion of stoppage time, and the handling of postponed or canceled matches.Primary resolution logic: Official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers, with a defined hierarchy of fallback sources (Flashscore, Sofascore, credible reporting).

Core resolution logic:

  • The first team to score during the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time determines the outcome.
  • If no team scores within the specified timeframe, the market resolves to 'Neither'.
  • Postponed matches remain open until completed; canceled matches resolve to 'Neither'.

Edge cases & clarifications:

  • Data Availability: If official statistics are unavailable within 2 hours of the match's conclusion, Flashscore data will be used. If Flashscore data is unavailable, Sofascore data will be used. If neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting will be used. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours, the market resolves 50-50 (or to 'Draw' where applicable).
  • Score Revisions: Revisions to officially declared final scores made *after* market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome.
Timing: Resolution will occur as soon as the official final result is available, with a maximum delay of 24 hours due to data source fallback procedures. Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds, like those found in this market, often reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and to balance action, while prediction markets are driven by individuals willing to put their capital behind their beliefs. This can lead to prediction markets being more accurate, especially when there's significant public information available. Polymarket and Predict can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Price discrepancies between Polymarket and Predict for the Udinese vs. Milan first-to-score market can arise due to several factors. Each platform attracts a different user base with varying levels of expertise and information, leading to differing opinions on the likely outcome.
