Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines to balance betting action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market allows traders to directly express their beliefs about the probability of each exact score. If a significant discrepancy emerges, arbitrage opportunities may arise, where traders can profit by simultaneously betting on Polymarket and a sportsbook. However, it’s important to remember that sportsbooks and prediction markets each have their own unique user bases and information sources, leading to potential differences in assessed probabilities.
