This market focuses on determining which team will score more points in the final quarter of a college football matchup. It provides a way to bet specifically on the closing moments of the game, highlighting the potential for late-game momentum shifts. The outcome depends solely on 4th quarter performance, excluding any overtime periods.
The market resolves based on which team scores more points during the fourth quarter of the designated college football game, excluding overtime. If either UCF or Oklahoma State scores more points in that quarter, the respective market resolves to Yes. If both teams score the same number of points in the fourth quarter, the Tie market resolves to Yes. Postponements are handled by allowing the market to remain open if the game starts within 48 hours of its original time; otherwise, it resolves to a fair price. All outcomes consider only points scored during regulation fourth-quarter play, with no impact from overtime scoring.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and to balance action, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. Often, you’ll find that prediction markets are more accurate than traditional point spreads, especially when considering the information available at the time the bets are placed. However, sportsbook odds are readily available and provide a useful benchmark for comparison when evaluating this market.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing their beliefs about the 4th quarter winner. The price of each contract reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information emerges, the prices adjust dynamically, providing a real-time assessment of the likely winner. The market depth indicates how much volume is available at different price points, offering insight into the strength of conviction behind each potential outcome.
This market resolves around Oct 10, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the market will determine which team is winning at the conclusion of the 4th quarter of the UCF vs Oklahoma State game. The result will be based on official game statistics and data, ensuring an objective and verifiable outcome. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings or adjust their strategies for future events based on the final result.
Several factors could significantly influence this market. Any news regarding key player injuries for either UCF or Oklahoma State would likely cause price fluctuations. Significant shifts in public perception, perhaps driven by expert analysis or updated team statistics, could also move the market. In-game performance during the first three quarters, such as a dominant offensive showing by one team or unexpected defensive struggles, will undoubtedly impact trader sentiment and the odds. Finally, any late-breaking news related to weather conditions or coaching decisions could also play a role.
