This market refers to which team's player records the highest individual run total in the cricket match between Afghanistan and Bangladesh scheduled for October 21 2026 at 1:30 AM ET in UAE Tri-Nations ODIs. The outcome corresponding to Afghanistan will be considered correct if the highest individual score in the match is recorded exclusively by a player from Afghanistan. The outcome corresponding to Bangladesh will be considered correct if the highest individual score is recorded exclusively by a player from Bangladesh. If the highest individual score is shared by at least one player from each team, the market will resolve to Draw. The market will resolve according to which team's player records the highest individual run total regardless of if the match is not competed (e.g. Due to weather conditions). DLS/DRS adjustments and any other on-field rulings affecting batting statistics are treated as ordinary data. If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without official batting statistics being recorded, the market will resolve Draw. If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed and official statistics are available.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines based on statistical models and expert opinions, but may be slower to incorporate new information or changing sentiment. This market allows traders to react quickly to developments, such as team news or weather forecasts, potentially leading to odds that more accurately reflect the true probability of each outcome. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially as the event approaches and more information becomes available.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous trading mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each player being the top batter. The price of each share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome. As more traders buy shares in a particular player, the price increases, and vice versa. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market odds constantly adjust to reflect the collective intelligence of the traders participating in this market.
This market resolves around Oct 28, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on which player scores the most runs in the ODI series between Afghanistan and Bangladesh. In the event of a tie, the player who reached the score in fewer balls will be considered the winner. The official match results will serve as the basis for determining the winning outcome in this market.
Several factors could significantly influence this market. Any news regarding player injuries or changes to the team lineups would likely cause shifts in the odds. Weather forecasts predicting rain, which could affect playing conditions and potentially shorten the match, are also important. Furthermore, performance in preceding matches or recent form of the players involved could impact trader sentiment and lead to price adjustments. Unexpected announcements related to pitch conditions or strategic changes could also move this market.
