This market refers to the cricket match between Afghanistan and Bangladesh scheduled for October 21 2026 at 1:30 AM ET in UAE Tri-Nations ODIs. DLS/DRS, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the winner determined by that tiebreak will be used for resolution. If the match ends tied and no on-field tiebreak is used or available under the playing conditions (e.g., group-stage ODI with no Super Over), the market will resolve 50-50. If the match is postponed/rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed. If the match is permanently canceled or abandoned or otherwise is completed without a winner, the market resolves 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.

Prediction market odds often reflect a different kind of wisdom than sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market represents the collective prediction of informed traders. Often, you’ll find that prediction markets are more accurate than traditional betting markets, especially when complex factors are involved. However, sportsbook odds can sometimes offer value, particularly if they differ significantly from the current price on Polymarket. Comparing the two can be a useful strategy for finding potential opportunities.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more people trade, the price adjusts to reflect the evolving consensus. The market’s efficiency stems from the incentive for traders to accurately assess probabilities, as profitable predictions lead to financial gains. The current price reflects the aggregated intelligence of those participating in this market.
This market resolves around Oct 28, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on the official results of the Afghanistan vs Bangladesh ODI series as declared by the governing body for international cricket. The outcome will be determined by which team wins the series, or if the series ends in a draw. The platform will verify the results against reliable sources to ensure an accurate and transparent resolution process for all traders.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before resolution. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in team composition, or weather forecasts affecting match schedules could all cause shifts in sentiment. Unexpected performance in early matches of the series will likely have a significant impact, as will any analysis from cricket experts predicting the series outcome. Major upsets or particularly dominant performances by either Afghanistan or Bangladesh could lead to substantial price movements in this market.
