This market tracks which team will lead at the end of the first half in an upcoming college football game. It reflects the competitive performance of each team during the initial 30 minutes of play. The outcome depends solely on the points scored in that specific segment, not the final game result.
The market resolves based on which team is leading at the end of the first half of the UAB vs South Florida college football game scheduled for October 30, 2026. If either UAB or South Florida holds the lead after the first half concludes, the respective market for that team resolves to Yes. If the teams are tied at the end of the first half, the Tie market resolves to Yes. Postponements are permitted, with the market remaining open if play begins within 48 hours of the original scheduled start time. If the game does not commence within this 48-hour window, the market resolves to a fair price. Points scored only during the first half count toward determining the outcome.
Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, potentially differing from those set by sportsbooks. Sportsbooks establish lines to balance action on both sides, incorporating a profit margin, while this market is driven purely by participants’ beliefs about the likelihood of each outcome. If there's a significant discrepancy, it could indicate that the market believes the sportsbook has mispriced the event, or that new information hasn't yet been fully incorporated into sportsbook lines. It's common to see differences, especially before a large influx of betting activity.
On Kalshi, this market is priced using a continuous double auction. Traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about the first-half winner of the UAB vs South Florida game. The price of a contract ranges from 0 to 100, representing the implied probability of that outcome. As more traders buy a contract, the price increases, and vice-versa. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market dynamically adjusts based on supply and demand, providing a real-time assessment of the perceived likelihood of each team winning the first half.
This market resolves around Oct 31, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the result will be determined by which team is leading at the end of the first half of the UAB vs South Florida game. The official score at halftime, as reported by a trusted sports data source, will be used to determine the winning team for the purpose of this market. Any potential overtime periods are not considered in the resolution of this market.
Several factors could influence the price of this market. News regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either UAB or South Florida would likely cause significant movement. Unexpected changes in weather conditions, particularly if they favor one team’s playing style, could also shift the odds. Major announcements related to team strategy or coaching decisions might also impact trader sentiment. Finally, large-volume trades on Kalshi itself can create short-term price fluctuations, reflecting shifts in market confidence.
