This set of markets tracks the point differential in a college football game between UAB and Memphis. Each market corresponds to a specific margin of victory, allowing participants to bet on whether the winning team will exceed that margin.
All markets resolve based on the official final point differential of the UAB vs Memphis college football game scheduled for October 10, 2026. If Memphis wins by a margin exceeding the specified threshold in any market, that market resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. Conversely, if UAB wins by more than the specified margin, the corresponding UAB market resolves to Yes. For games postponed but starting within 48 hours of the original time, markets remain open and resolve based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, all markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi disclaims any affiliation with the NCAA, and all trademarks remain property of their respective owners.
Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and need to build in a profit margin, while this market is driven purely by traders’ willingness to buy or sell contracts. If a significant number of traders believe a sportsbook’s line is inaccurate, they can move the price on Kalshi in the opposite direction. It's common to see discrepancies, especially as new information emerges or public sentiment shifts leading up to the game. This market provides an alternative perspective on the likely outcome.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing different point spreads for the UAB vs Memphis game. The price of each contract reflects the probability of that spread being the final result. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders are incentivized to provide accurate predictions, as they profit if their contracts are correct and lose if they are not. As more traders participate, the price converges towards what the market believes is the true probability of each outcome. This dynamic pricing mechanism allows for a real-time assessment of the game’s likely outcome.
This market resolves around Oct 11, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final point spread of the UAB vs Memphis game, as determined by official game statistics, will be used to determine which contracts pay out. Contracts predicting a spread that matches the final result will settle at 100, while those predicting a different spread will settle at 0. The resolution process is designed to be transparent and based on objective data, ensuring a fair outcome for all traders participating in this market.
Several factors could influence the price of this market. Any news regarding injuries to key players on either the UAB or Memphis teams would likely cause significant movement. Changes in team strategy, weather forecasts for the game day, or even significant public betting patterns observed elsewhere could also shift the market. Unexpected announcements about player availability, coaching changes, or even a shift in public perception of a team’s strength could all contribute to price fluctuations in this market leading up to Oct 11, 2026.
