This set of markets tracks how many points each team scores in an upcoming college football game. Each market corresponds to a specific point threshold for a team, determining whether they exceed that threshold during the game.
All markets resolve based on the official final point totals for Tulane and Charlotte in their college football game scheduled for October 30, 2026. For each market, if the specified team scores more than the stated point threshold, the market resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. If the game is postponed but commences within 48 hours of the original start time, the markets remain open and resolve according to the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours of the scheduled time, all markets resolve to a fair price, ensuring equitable treatment for all participants regardless of the specific point thresholds.
Generally, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. If a significant number of traders believe a team will exceed its total, the odds will shift accordingly, potentially offering a different value than what’s available at a sportsbook. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially as new information emerges or public perception changes.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing different outcomes for the Tulane and Charlotte team totals. The price of each contract reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders are incentivized to provide accurate predictions, as profitable trades are rewarded. The more buyers for a particular outcome, the higher the price, and vice versa, creating a dynamic and responsive pricing mechanism.
This market resolves around Oct 31, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final team totals from the Tulane-Charlotte game are verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official scores recorded by the governing body of college football. The market will determine which side – Tulane over/under a specific point total or Charlotte over/under a specific point total – correctly predicted the actual team performance. All trading will cease upon official result confirmation.
Several factors could influence the trading activity in this market. Any news regarding key player injuries for either Tulane or Charlotte would likely cause significant movement. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly if severe weather is expected during the game, could also impact the perceived scoring potential. Additionally, late-breaking news about team strategies or coaching decisions might shift trader sentiment. Finally, large volume trades from informed participants could also trigger price fluctuations in this market.
