Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines to balance action, while this market’s prices are driven purely by traders’ willingness to buy or sell based on their individual assessments. If a significant number of informed bettors believe a particular exact score is more likely than implied by sportsbook odds, we may see the probability on Polymarket shift accordingly. It’s common to observe discrepancies, especially as new information becomes available and market participants update their beliefs.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing different exact scores for the Trabzonspor vs. Heart of Midlothian match, and the price of each share reflects the market’s implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market reflects the collective intelligence of all participants.
