Frequently asked questions

Often, prediction market odds reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd effect, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and to balance action, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. If a significant number of traders believe Tottenham is more likely to win by two or more goals than sportsbooks suggest, the price will move accordingly. Discrepancies can arise from differing information sources, biases, or simply a wider range of perspectives contributing to this market. It's a fascinating comparison to consider when evaluating potential value.

On Limitless, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders can buy 'yes' shares if they believe Tottenham will win by two or more goals, and sell 'no' shares if they believe otherwise. On Limitless, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of these shares fluctuates based on supply and demand, effectively creating a real-time probability assessment. As more traders buy 'yes' shares, the price increases, indicating a higher perceived chance of that outcome. Conversely, increased selling pressure lowers the price. This dynamic process reflects the collective intelligence of the market participants.

This market resolves around Oct 20, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Tottenham vs Coventry match, specifically whether Tottenham wins by a margin of two or more goals. The platform will verify the final score against trusted sports data sources to determine the winning outcome. Traders holding 'yes' shares will receive a payout if Tottenham meets this condition, while those holding 'no' shares will not.

Several factors could influence the price of this market. Any news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either Tottenham or Coventry would likely have a significant impact. Changes in team form, tactical adjustments, or even weather conditions could also shift trader sentiment. Unexpected announcements about team lineups closer to the match date could trigger price movements. Furthermore, general football news and analysis, as well as public opinion, can all contribute to fluctuations in the market price leading up to Oct 20, 2026.
