Frequently asked questions

Typically, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, reflecting their profit margin. This market, driven by the collective wisdom of traders on Limitless, aims to represent the true probability of the event occurring. While sportsbooks may initially set odds based on expert analysis, prediction markets can quickly adjust based on a wider range of information and opinions, potentially offering more accurate probabilities as the event approaches. It is common to see differences between the two.

On Limitless, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell 'shares' representing their belief in the outcome. The price of these shares directly reflects the implied probability of Tottenham winning by two or more goals. As more traders buy shares, the price increases, indicating growing confidence in that outcome. Conversely, increased selling pressure drives the price down. On Limitless, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market depth and order book are visible on the dashboard, allowing traders to assess the current sentiment and potential price movements.

This market resolves around Oct 25, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the result of the Tottenham vs Chelsea match is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official match result, specifically whether Tottenham wins the match by a margin of two or more goals. The official scoreline will be used to determine the winning outcome. Any potential postponements or cancellations will be handled according to the platform’s standard procedures, ensuring a fair and transparent resolution process.

Several factors could significantly influence this market. Any news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either Tottenham or Chelsea would likely cause price fluctuations. Changes in team form, tactical adjustments announced by the managers, or even weather conditions on match day could all impact trader sentiment. Unexpected news related to team morale or internal conflicts could also play a role. Furthermore, any significant shifts in public opinion or expert predictions regarding the match outcome could drive trading activity and alter the price of shares in this market.
