PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)

Both Polymarket and Predict use identical resolution criteria and fallback data sources.Primary resolution logic: Official match statistics as recognized by the governing body or event organizers, with fallback to Flashscore and Sofascore.

Core resolution logic:

  • The first team to score within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time wins the market.
  • If no team scores within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time, the market resolves to "Neither".
  • Postponed matches will have the market remain open until completion.
  • Cancelled matches will resolve to "Neither".

Edge cases & clarifications:

  • Data Availability: If official statistics are unavailable within 2 hours of the match's conclusion, Flashscore data will be used. If Flashscore is unavailable, Sofascore data will be used. If neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting will be used. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours, the market resolves 50-50.
  • Score Revisions: Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for.
Timing: Resolution will occur as soon as official match statistics are available, or within 24 hours of the match's conclusion if fallback data sources are required. Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds, like those displayed for this market, often reflect a more accurate forecast than traditional sportsbook odds. This is because prediction markets incentivize participants to reveal their true beliefs, leading to a collective intelligence effect. Sportsbooks may be influenced by factors like public betting biases or house advantage, while this market relies on individuals directly forecasting the outcome. The difference in odds can sometimes be significant, offering potential value for informed traders. However, both sources provide valuable information for assessing the likelihood of different scenarios.

Prices for this market may differ between Polymarket and Predict due to several factors. Each platform has its own user base, trading dynamics, and risk assessments, which can influence price discovery. Polymarket and Predict can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Furthermore, the liquidity and volume on each platform can vary, leading to price discrepancies. Different information available to traders on each platform, or varying interpretations of the same information, can also contribute to these differences. The current volume of $184 suggests a moderate level of activity, but imbalances in trading pressure on either Polymarket or Predict can still cause price divergence.
