Frequently asked questions

Generally, prediction markets like Polymarket often reflect information and insights different from those captured in traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market aggregates the wisdom of the crowd. If sportsbook odds significantly differ from the probabilities shown on Polymarket, it could indicate disagreement about the likely outcome, or that the market has identified factors not fully priced into the sportsbook lines. It’s a useful comparison to see where different perspectives lie.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each player winning. The price of each share directly reflects the implied probability of that player winning the Titled Tuesday event. Demand and supply dynamics dictate the price, with increased buying signifying greater confidence in a player’s chances. The current 24-hour volume is $376, indicating the level of recent trading activity. This continuous pricing allows the market to quickly incorporate new information and adjust probabilities accordingly.

This market resolves around Nov 4, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The winner of the Titled Tuesday tournament on October 20th will determine the outcome of this market. The official results from the tournament organizers will be used to verify the winner. The market will then settle, and shares will pay out based on whether the outcome predicted by the share corresponds to the actual winner of the tournament.

Changes in player form or unexpected tournament results are key factors that could move this market. If a highly-rated player performs poorly in early rounds, their implied probability will likely decrease as traders adjust their expectations. Conversely, a strong showing from an underdog could lead to increased demand for their shares. The current market reflects pre-tournament expectations, and any deviations from those expectations will be quickly priced in. This market resolves around Nov 4, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting.
