Frequently asked questions

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from initial sportsbook offerings. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and need to account for a profit margin, while this market allows bettors to directly express their beliefs. If a significant number of people believe a sportsbook has mispriced an outcome, the odds here will adjust accordingly. It's common to see this market converge towards what many consider the 'true' probability as more information becomes available and trading volume increases. However, discrepancies can still arise due to differing risk appetites and information access.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders participate, the price fluctuates, reflecting the collective assessment of the event's likelihood. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market's price is determined solely by supply and demand, with traders adjusting their positions based on new information and their own analysis of the Tigres vs. Internacional second half. This creates a dynamic and informative price signal.

This market resolves around Oct 4, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The result of the second half – whether Tigres FC or Internacional FC De Palmira wins, or if the half ends in a draw – will be used to determine the winning shares. The resolution will be based on the official match result as reported by a trusted source. Traders should monitor official channels for the final result to understand when the market is settled, and shares are redeemable.

Several factors could influence the trading activity in this market. Any news regarding player injuries, suspensions, or changes in team tactics for either Tigres FC or Internacional FC De Palmira could significantly shift the odds. Unexpected weather conditions or referee announcements could also play a role. Furthermore, in-game events during the first half of the match, such as early goals or red cards, will likely cause substantial price movements as traders react to the evolving situation. Public sentiment and expert analysis leading up to and during the game can also impact trading volume and price.
