This set of markets focuses on predicting the total points scored by both teams combined in the second half of a college football game, including any overtime periods. Each market has a different threshold for the total points needed to resolve as 'Yes'.
All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams in the second half (including overtime) of the specified college football game. For each market, if the combined score exceeds the stated threshold, it resolves to 'Yes'; otherwise, it resolves to 'No'. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the markets remain open and resolve based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, all markets resolve to a fair price. Points from the first half or any pre-game events are excluded from consideration.
Often, prediction market odds reflect a different perspective than those found at sportsbooks. Sportsbooks typically set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market relies on the collective wisdom of traders. If a significant number of traders believe the sportsbook’s line is inaccurate, the price on Kalshi will move accordingly. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply varying interpretations of the teams’ strengths and weaknesses. It’s not uncommon to see this market diverge from initial sportsbook offerings as new information becomes available.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about whether the total points scored in the second half of the Texas A&M vs Missouri game will be over or under 19.5. The price of these contracts reflects the probability of that outcome, as perceived by the market participants. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and express their views, the price adjusts to reflect the collective expectation. The closer we get to the event, the more the price will likely converge towards the true outcome.
This market resolves around Oct 10, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final score of the second half of the Texas A&M vs Missouri football game will be used to determine whether the total points scored exceeded 19.5. All contracts will be settled based on this official result. Traders holding contracts on the winning side will receive a payout, while those on the losing side will forfeit their investment. The resolution process is designed to be transparent and based on objectively verifiable data.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before the game concludes. Any news regarding key player injuries for either Texas A&M or Missouri would likely cause significant movement. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they are expected to impact scoring, could also shift the market. Furthermore, in-game performance during the first half – such as a dominant offensive showing by one team – could lead traders to reassess their probabilities and adjust their positions accordingly. Unexpected coaching decisions or significant penalties could also play a role.
