This group forecasts the outcome of a Test Match cricket game between Afghanistan and Zimbabwe, scheduled for November 5, 2026. Markets exist for Afghanistan winning, Zimbabwe winning, and the match ending in a draw. All platforms define a clear resolution path based on the official match result, with provisions for cancellations and tied games.
In the upcoming Test Match cricket match between Afghanistan and Zimbabwe, originally scheduled for Thursday, November 5, 2026 at 12:00 AM ET (as of creation of the first market related to the event): DLS/DRS, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the winner determined by that tiebreak will be used for resolution. If the match ends tied and no on-field tiebreak is used or available under the playing conditions (e.g., group-stage ODI with no Super Over), the market will resolve to draw. If this market's outcome was definitively determined under its rules by the listed resolution sources before abandonment, that outcome will stand. Otherwise, the following no-result provisions apply. If the match is canceled, does not start by Saturday, November 7, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or is abandoned with no official result by that time, the market will resolve to draw. If the match otherwise is completed without a winner, the market will resolve to draw. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.
The event resolves based on the official result of the Afghanistan vs Zimbabwe men's professional Test series cricket match scheduled for November 5, 2026. If Afghanistan wins, its corresponding market resolves to Yes; if Zimbabwe wins, its market resolves to Yes; and if the match ends in a draw or tie, the Draw/Tie market resolves to Yes. If the match is cancelled before commencement or abandoned before the toss occurs with no official result, all markets resolve to a fair market price. If the match is delayed by more than five days from its original start time before beginning, all markets also resolve to a fair market price. However, if the match is abandoned after the toss has been made, all markets resolve according to the official result recorded by the governing body of the relevant competition. Prediction market odds often reflect a more accurate forecast than traditional sportsbooks, as they incentivize participants to reveal their true beliefs. Sportsbooks may include a 'vig' or commission, influencing the displayed odds. This market, however, is driven by individuals directly betting on the outcome, creating a more transparent price discovery process. While sportsbooks may initially set odds based on expert analysis, prediction markets dynamically adjust based on the collective intelligence of traders. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information access, biases, or simply varying levels of market participation.
This market resolves around Nov 12, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the result of the Afghanistan vs Zimbabwe Test match is verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome will be determined by the official result declared by the governing body of the match. This includes whether Afghanistan wins, Zimbabwe wins, or the match ends in a draw. Traders will be able to see the final result and the corresponding payout for their positions once the event concludes and the outcome is officially verified.
Several factors could significantly impact this market before it resolves around Nov 12, 2026. Unexpected injuries to key players on either the Afghanistan or Zimbabwe teams would likely cause shifts in predictions. Major weather forecasts predicting disruptions to play could also influence the market, particularly if a draw becomes more probable. Furthermore, any news regarding pitch conditions or strategic changes announced by either team could move the odds. Finally, significant bets placed on either Polymarket or Predict could create momentum and drive price adjustments as traders react to new information and sentiment.
