In the upcoming Liga de Expansión MX game between Tepatitlan FC and Cancun FC, scheduled for October 23, 2026 at 9:00 PM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the Tepatitlan FC vs. Cancun FC match originally scheduled for October 23, 2026 at 9:00 PM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the actual score is not one of the explicitly listed outcomes, the market resolves to "Any Other Score." If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to profit from balanced betting, while this market allows participants to express their own beliefs about the likelihood of each exact score. If a significant discrepancy exists between this market and sportsbook odds, it may indicate that the crowd believes the sportsbook is mispricing the event. However, it's important to remember that both represent probabilities, and neither guarantees the actual outcome.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing each possible exact score. The price of a share reflects the market’s collective belief about the probability of that score occurring. As more traders participate, the price adjusts to incorporate new information and opinions. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price movements are driven by supply and demand; if many traders believe a particular score is likely, they will buy shares, driving up the price, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing ensures the market stays responsive to evolving expectations.
This market resolves around Oct 24, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final, official exact score of the Tepatitlan FC versus Cancun FC match will determine the winning shares. The resolution will be based on the publicly available game results, ensuring a transparent and objective determination of the outcome. Traders will be able to claim their winnings once the result is officially verified and the market is settled on Polymarket.
Several factors could influence the price of shares in this market. Any news regarding team injuries, changes in coaching staff, or unexpected player suspensions could significantly shift expectations. Pre-match analysis from sports analysts and commentators, as well as any reported changes in team formations or strategies, might also impact trading activity. Furthermore, public sentiment and betting trends observed elsewhere could also contribute to price movements. A surprising result in a related match involving either team could also cause traders to reassess their probabilities.
