The market resolves based on which team scores the most points in the third quarter of the Tennessee vs South Carolina college football game scheduled for October 24, 2026. Postponements are accounted for: if the game starts within 48 hours of its original time, the market remains open and resolves based on the official result. Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from initial sportsbook lines due to the influence of public opinion and differing information. Sportsbooks set their odds to balance action and ensure a profit, while this market allows traders to express their own probabilities. As more information becomes available – such as injury reports or weather forecasts – this market’s odds can shift more rapidly than those at traditional sportsbooks. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially closer to the event, as traders incorporate new data and refine their predictions.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing the probability of each outcome. The price of a contract directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more people buy contracts for a particular team, the price increases, and the implied probability rises. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market depth and trading activity influence the speed and magnitude of these price movements, providing a dynamic reflection of collective belief about the 3rd quarter winner.
This market resolves around Oct 24, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The team leading at the end of the 3rd quarter of the Tennessee vs South Carolina game will be declared the winner of this market. Resolution will be based on the official game results as reported by a trusted sports data provider. Traders will be able to see the final result reflected in their account balances shortly after the game concludes and the outcome is officially verified.
Several factors could significantly impact this market. Any news regarding key player injuries for either Tennessee or South Carolina would likely cause a shift in the odds. Unexpected changes in weather conditions, particularly if they favor one team’s playing style, could also be a catalyst. Furthermore, in-game performance during the first half – such as a dominant offensive showing or a surprising defensive strategy – could influence trader behavior and move the market. Public sentiment and any major betting trends could also contribute to price fluctuations before Oct 24, 2026.
