These markets track the total points scored by both teams during the third quarter of a college football game. Each market has a different threshold for the total points needed to resolve as 'Yes'.
All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams specifically during the third quarter of the Tennessee vs South Carolina college football game scheduled for October 24, 2026. Each market has a unique threshold, ranging from more than 2.5 points to more than 27.5 points. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the markets remain open and resolve according to the official result. If the game does not start within 48 hours of the scheduled time, all markets resolve to a fair price. Only points scored during the third quarter count toward resolution, and Kalshi disclaims any affiliation with the NCAA.
Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of individuals, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbook odds are typically set by a relatively small number of professionals, while this market allows anyone to participate and express their beliefs about the likely outcome. It's common to see discrepancies between the two, especially before significant events or when there’s considerable uncertainty. Analyzing these differences can be a valuable exercise for informed decision-making, though it's important to remember that both represent probabilities, not guarantees.
This market resolves around Oct 24, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final score of the 3rd quarter between Tennessee and South Carolina will be used to determine whether the total points scored are over or under the threshold defined by the contracts traded on Kalshi. The resolution will be based on official game statistics, ensuring a transparent and objective determination of the result. Traders will then be paid out based on the final outcome and their positions in the market.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before the game concludes. Any news regarding key player injuries for either Tennessee or South Carolina would likely have a significant impact. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they are expected to affect scoring, could also move the market. Furthermore, as the game progresses and early scoring trends emerge, the market will react to the unfolding events. Unexpected in-game strategies or a shift in momentum could all contribute to price fluctuations in this market.
