This event tracks whether either the Tennessee Titans or Indianapolis Colts defensive/special teams units will score at least one touchdown during their football game scheduled for October 18, 2026. Touchdowns must occur at any point in the game, including overtime, and are counted based on actual game statistics.
Both markets share identical rules governing resolution. A contract resolves to Yes if the respective team's defense or special teams records one or more touchdowns at any point in the full game, including overtime. The contracts are designated as 'protected,' meaning if the player (for player-specific contracts) participates in at least one play during the first half but not after halftime, the contract resolves to the fair price set before the game unless the required touchdowns are scored. Participation in a play nullified by penalty does not count, and players who never participate are subject to the fair price non-participation rule. The protection mechanism applies only to full-game contracts with 'at least' payout criteria. Passing touchdowns do not count toward the requirement when scored by the passer. Team defense/special-teams selections settle strictly on actual touchdowns, and the player participation exception does not apply to them. Kalshi explicitly disclaims any official affiliation with the governing league, and all trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market allows traders to express their own beliefs about the likelihood of different outcomes. If a significant discrepancy exists between this market and sportsbook odds, it may indicate that the crowd believes the sportsbook is mispricing the event, or that new information hasn't yet been fully incorporated into the sportsbook's lines. It is important to compare and contrast to form your own informed opinion.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book, where traders buy and sell contracts representing their predictions. The price of a contract directly reflects the market's implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders participate and express their views, the price adjusts accordingly, creating a dynamic and real-time assessment of the event's potential. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market depth and trading volume influence how quickly prices respond to new information or shifts in sentiment.
This market resolves around Oct 18, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the total number of touchdowns scored in the Tennessee versus Indianapolis game. Official game statistics will be used to determine the final result. Traders holding contracts on the correct outcome will receive a payout, while those holding contracts on incorrect outcomes will not. The market's resolution is independent of any pre-game predictions or analyses.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before resolution. Any news regarding key player injuries for either the Tennessee or Indianapolis teams would likely cause significant movement. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly if they suggest adverse conditions impacting the passing game, could also shift the market. Additionally, late-breaking news about coaching strategies or team morale might affect trader sentiment. Finally, large volume trades on Kalshi itself can create short-term price fluctuations, reflecting shifts in market participants’ beliefs.
